How do I sign up for an Alpha Dog ADA Sign Customer Account?

Signing up for a Customer Account is easy. Click the My Account link at the top of the page.

What can I do with a Customer Account?

Do you have free shipping?

Yes, we have free shipping on any order over $75.00.

My order never arrived. What should I do?

Firstly, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please, reach out to one of our Alpha Dog Team Members and someone will be happy to help you find, fix, and resolve your issue.

How soon can I get my order?

Time from order to in-hands depends on 2 options you may choose from; Production Time and Shipping

Production Time:

  • Standard Production is 5-7 business days
  • Hurry Production is 2-3 business days
  • Rush Production is 1 business day
  • Lightspeed Production is same business day and requires a call to confirm

* Production options are independent of Shipping options

* Business Day: Mon-Fri, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Pacific

Shipping:

  • We offer Standard shipping via USPS and UPS
  • We offer Expedited shipping via USPS and UPS

*Shipping options vary in price and delivery time. (Sorry, we are not able to bill to a customer account).

How do I know when my order will get here?

Since we make all of our signs per order basis, we require a Production Time to produce your ADA Signs. After our Production Team has produced your sign is shipped out.

Let’s say you ordered your sign early Monday morning and chose our Free Standard Production Time (7 Business Days) and then did 2-day shipping.

Since your sign was ordered in the morning that will be the first day (Monday) of your 7 Business Days, 7 business days after Monday will be the following Tuesday (when production time is complete), and then it will take 2 days to ship, which will have your sign to you around Thursday (as long as there are no delays in shipping).

Production Time:

  • Standard Production is 7 business days
  • Hurry Production is 3 business days
  • Rush Production is 1 business day
  • Lightspeed Production is same business day and requires a call to confirm

Do you have a return policy?

Sign(s) may be returned within 10 days after delivery for a full refund or replacement if the reason is a result of our error (wrong text, color, or size, etc). To return an order that is incorrect, please contact us via email or phone call (888-586-7154).

My order arrived damaged. What should I do?

We make sure to package our signs with care and we understand sometimes things get damaged (we’ve all seen those packages during the holidays). As soon as you notice your sign damaged please reach out to one of our Alpha Dog Team Members.

Standard & Custom ADA Signage Questions

Do you have any ADA Signage that I can order quickly for my upcoming inspection?

Yes, we offer our Quick Ship ADA Signs – Ships the Next Business Day for certain types of ADA signage. These signs are made with the same high quality, UV stable, lightweight ADA material as all of our other signs. Plus, we offer bulk discounts up to 20% off and free shipping on all orders over $75.00.

Can you make custom signs?

Yes we do, glad you asked!

Thanks to our state of the art equipment, we can make ADA and non-ADA signage using our DCS 7200z and our Trotec Speedy 400 laser engraver. Colors, textures, shapes… contact us with your custom specs or speak with us about your ideas and we’ll do our best to find you the fastest, most economical solution!

What color(s) can I use for my ADA signage?

Color Options are almost limitless – but there are some rules!

Our Standard Colors give you 20 options, with either White or Black copy/pictograms depending on the contrast.

Our Custom Colors give a total of 42 colors plus clear, and you can choose the copy/pictogram color (remember those rules…). With our DCS 7200z printer, we can print custom colors if given CMYK or PMS color values.

We will soon be offering additional collections for your color needs!

Can you PMS Color Match my ADA signage?

No, we can color approximate a specific/existing color to your PMS color request. We are able to get an approximate match to the color.

PMS color matching requires a specific type of PMS printer along with that PMS color as an ink. Our DCS printers use a CMYK color process which is mixing together C + M + Y + K to receive a certain color.

What font(s) can I use for my ADA signage?

Our Standard font is Myriad Pro, but we also offer Arial and Futura as font choices for our ADA Compliant Signs. Custom fonts should meet those ADA Standards for Accessible Design: “703.2.3 Style. Characters shall be sans serif. Characters shall not be italic, oblique, script, highly decorative, or of other unusual forms.” Have a custom font? Send it to us!

Can I use custom shapes for my ADA Signage?

Yes, custom shapes can be used to enhance or relate to your branding with your custom signs. ADA signs still have to follow certain rules, but possibilities are endless. Check out our Portfolio of ADA signage to get inspired.

Can I use my logo in my ADA Signage?

I am glad you asked!

Yes, you can use your logo to enhance your ADA signs. Your logo can be placed in a variety of places which allows you to have the look and feel you want. Keep in mind, if you decided to incorporate your logo behind the raised braille it will need to still meet ADA contrast requirements.

Yes, you can use layering to add depth and even texture to your ADA signage.

ADA Questions & Resources

What is ‘ADA compliant’ and how do I know if I need my sign(s) to be ADA compliant?

The Americans with Disabilities Act requires that all permanent rooms & spaces with public access should be accessible to people with disabilities (you can read more about Braille signs here). At a minimum, signs need to be readable, and it’s very possible they will be required to comply with the ADA Standards for Accessible Design. Local building codes may have additional requirements, so always check with your local authorities before ordering.

Do you have an ADA Floor Plan & Checklist that I can use to get started on my project?

Yes, you can download/view online our ADA Floor Plan & Checklist as a starting point to ADA signs which are typically required in a project. Remember, always check with your State and local codes for any variances.
