ADA-compliant signage
Custom ADA Signs
Need a sign that isn’t in our catalog? Order it custom with your exact room name, number, or wording. Most custom signs are ADA-compliant with raised tactile characters and Grade 2 Braille (set in Myriad Pro); we also make printed custom corridor signs for hallway wayfinding. Everything is made to order in our California shop.

Custom doesn’t mean non-compliant
For our tactile signs — custom room, bathroom, and Braille signs — “custom” only changes the wording, not the compliance. Every tactile custom sign follows the federal ADA rules: raised, uppercase characters in the Myriad Pro font, Grade 2 contracted Braille beneath the text, a non-glare surface, and high contrast between the characters and background. You give us the text; we build it into a sign that passes inspection.
Which custom signs are ADA — and which aren’t
Custom Braille and Custom Bathroom signs are full ADA tactile signs with Braille. Custom Corridor signs are different — these are projecting, hallway-style signs meant to be seen from a distance for wayfinding. They’re visual only: no tactile text or Braille, and they don’t replace the ADA tactile wall sign a room still needs. Choose a corridor sign to help people find their way down a hallway, and a tactile wall/room sign for compliance at the door.
What you can customize
Two things: the text/wording (room names, numbers, or messages) and the color — Blue, Black, White, or Brushed Stainless. Everything is set in the Myriad Pro font for a clean, consistent look. Sizes are fixed per listing, so pick the product in the size you need.
How to order
For common custom signs, pick the closest product, add your text, and check out — most orders go into production within about 5 business days, with Hurry, Rush, and same-day options at checkout (production time doesn’t include shipping). For large jobs or full sign schedules, send the details through Request a Quote. Wholesale and bulk pricing — up to 15% off — is available for resellers and multi-sign orders.
Frequently asked questions
What makes a custom sign ADA compliant?
Raised, uppercase tactile characters in Myriad Pro, Grade 2 Braille, a non-glare surface, and high contrast — mounted 48″–60″ from the floor on the latch side of the door. We build all of this into every tactile custom sign.
Do custom corridor signs have Braille?
No. Corridor (projecting) signs are visual wayfinding signs read from a distance — no tactile text or Braille. They don’t replace the ADA tactile wall sign a room requires.
How long do custom signs take?
Standard production is about 5 business days; Hurry, Rush, and same-day options are available at checkout. Production time doesn’t include shipping.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?
Yes — volume discounts up to 15%, plus wholesale accounts for sign shops and resellers. Use Request a Quote for large or recurring orders.
